Pancake Tuesday
Trying out my new 40mm pancake lens yesterday. I bought it so that my SLR would fit snugly in my day bag, and thus I'd not need to carry a camera bag as well as everything else. I'm off to London at the weekend, and I don't want to be without a camera, so this is the perfect lens (my Leica has gone to Germany for a little holiday to get some dust off its sensor). As always I had a less than willing subject to practice on.

Day 289
Up close and personal with the cat today. Thanks to the macro lens you cant tell that she's glaring at me. Also, I think this should count as a self-portrait.

Day 281
It's very hard to photograph my cat in any state other than sleeping. As soon as she sees the camera she legs it. Today however, she was engrossed in a leaf caught in a breeze outside the window, so I could catch her unawares.

Day 100
There's a long list of reasons for today to be consigned to the dustbin of history: weather, work, traffic, weather again. Sometimes you just have to envy a cat; especially one whose only stress is some eejit trying to take her photograph

Day 22
A more productive day than yesterday, but nonetheless a portion of the day spent on the sofa. And it rained a lot, so staying indoors seemed appropriate. When I first started this blog I considered warning that the viewer should expect a lot of pictures of my cat, and here's the first. Like me she doesn't like having her picture taken, but unlike me she's very photogenic, and she rewards perseverance.
