I was determined that today's photo wouldn't be a landscape, and my intention to photograph something snow based was scuppered by the absence of snow. Luckily I saw, and was quite taken with, this sculpture in front of an office building.

Day 298
Another snowy day, and the day I found out how truly difficult it is to photograph snow well. As I made my way home, resigned to using an iPhone shot today, the sun started to come out from behind the snow clouds, and I went down Dun Laoghaire pier to get a shot of the sunset back over Sandymount. The day was saved.

Day 297
It was cold, so I put on my gloves as I left the office to take a few shots. It wasn't snowing though, so I didn't bring my jacket, and that was my undoing, because three minutes later the snow was pelting down as I was forced to retreat back to work.

Day 290
I started work in Dun Laoghaire today, and to celebrate I cycled to work through the freezing cold and the snow. When I arrived the snow was clearing, and the sun was just hitting Pigeon House. The blue sky was misleading though, as it continued to snow and rain all day.

Day 282
Very cold today in Kerry, so what better time to go for a walk down the marina with no gloves?!The weather was very odd today, as evidenced by this photo: sunny on one side and snowing on the other.

Day 267
The snow wasn't widespread, and it didn't last all that long, but I did enjoy this lad's joie de vivre in the face of his inevitable demise.

Day 266
It's snowing. Not only that, but it is snowing incredibly heavily, and the world has turned white. I'd worry for the flowers that thought spring had arrived.

Day 248
Never mind four seasons in a day, it's four seasons in an hour here today. We've had snow, rain, wind and sun in the last sixty minutes.

Day 241
A cloudy day today in Chamonix, so the resort of choice was down at the bottom of the valley amongst the trees. The forest always looks magical coated in snow like it was today.

Day 240
Day two in Chamonix and a lot of snow fell overnight, thus necessitating an early start to take advantage of the untracked powder. This is the shadow of an otherwise empty chairlift.

Day 236
In search of the snow again today: it's amazing how the landscape is utterly transformed within five minutes of leaving home. With snow there are photographs everywhere, but the problem is that there is no longer anywhere to pull in, as all the ditches and verges are snow drifts. So, when I saw what I thought was today's image I had to park and walk back half a mile. Lucky I did too, as although the original image I'd seen didn't pan out, I did see this wool snagged on barbed wire, and otherwise I'd have missed it.

Day 235
Another foray to find the snow, and a successful one this time. Once you get a bit higher it's a winter wonderland. I had quite a nice photo of a couple of lads taking photos of the scene, but they didn't seem too keen on me using it. Luckily at that point a robin redbreast appeared, and struck quite the perfect pose for a snowy day.

Day 234
I went in search of the lovely photogenic snow, but I couldn't find any. But, in the course of my wandering I ended up in Knocksink Wood, and found this wooden walkway to nowhere.
