Day 284
My plan to leave Dingle early was scuppered by outrageous fortune, and it was gone five o'clock when I actually managed to quit the city limits. The only upshot to this was that I was able to travel over the Connor Pass: it would have been a difficult trip at the start of the day due to the freezing conditions. As a result I was able to stop at this spot, and shoot back towards Dingle. A tripod was essential in the fading light, as anything less than f16 would have given inadequate depth of field.

Day 283
With the computer working away merrily without me I was able to nip out for half an hour to get a shot looking out to the Atlantic before the light was gone. This is a shot I've tried a few times, but only today did I get it right. Nothing but sea and sky, and the clouds played a blinder!

Day 282
Very cold today in Kerry, so what better time to go for a walk down the marina with no gloves?!The weather was very odd today, as evidenced by this photo: sunny on one side and snowing on the other.

Day 279
Unfortunately I couldn't photograph the hour I spent on the phone to technical support, so instead here's the last run home. Back in Dublin after a fortnight away and it feels good.

Day 278
I elected to avoid the sunset and head north this evening in search of an interesting beach or seascape, and I was very happy with the results. A long exposure on a tripod enabled me to use a very narrow depth of field, and the polariser helped the clouds to stand out a bit more.

Day 277
A day spent sitting at my desk watching the computer refuse to work properly. The bright side though is that I had the opportunity to play with my macro lens, which I must admit I adore!

Day 276
Another incredibly overcast day in Dingle, so instead of the grand landscape I went in search of a macro shot instead. This was shot wide open to give a very narrow depth of field, and lots of resulting bokeh.

Day 275
I went back to Ventry Beach today: the water was like glass, and even tough the day was flat and very overcast, the pier was reflected in the water, and the fisherman was standing very still, thus enabling a longer exposure.

Day 274
A late finish at work tonight, and no moon, so I drove as far as Ventry beach and took my chances. Due to some sorry packing I'm limited to a 30 second exposure at a high ISO, but it worked well, giving the water a nice shimmer.

Day 273
Another beautiful day in Dingle, but all I saw of it was through these blinds as I was working all day.

Day 272
Long day at work today, so I never got out to look for a shot. It worked out well though, as this is the view from my edit suite.

Day 270
I stopped on a beach this evening to take some photos of the surf, and I scared the bejaysus out of these birds. Luckily I got a shot before they were gone.

Day 263
I drove back to Dublin from Dingle tonight, and as I was leaving the peninsula the mountain was on fire. A long exposure gave some interesting effects in the flames.

Day 262
Another day of sporadically beautiful weather in Dingle. After work I hopped in the car and headed west to catch the sunset. I was out of luck for an actual red disc moment, but I'm pretty happy with the result nonetheless.

Day 260
I said goodbye to Dublin again for another work rotation in Kerry. Pity, because it was a very nice day in Dublin today.

Day 186
I had hoped to have left Dingle about four hours ago, but the graphics card had other ideas. So here I am, last man standing, watching the sun set, and hoping to be gone by dark.

Day 185
Today has been the closest I've come to not posting. Crippled I am with the tiredness, but the job is done for now, and I've got pizza and Sly Stone is on the stereo and life could be a lot worse.
