Day 279

Unfortunately I couldn't photograph the hour I spent on the phone to technical support, so instead here's the last run home. Back in Dublin after a fortnight away and it feels good.

Day 201

Although I love my Leica, I've been frustrated by its low light level performance, and its maximum exposure time of 30 seconds. My new Canon has a bulb setting, so I can now work with longer exposures. Tonight I was shooting the M50 motorway at exposures of ninety seconds and very narrow apertures.

Day 175

Driving west this evening, and there was an amazing photo constantly out of reach. That's the problem with motorways: they're not great places to suddenly pull over and hop out to take pictures. I got off the motorway near Sallins, but the shot I was after proved too elusive. Instead I went up on the pedestrian bridge, and took this shot looking towards Dublin. I intentionally defocussed it and used a slower shutter speed, and I like the abstract quality it has as a result.

Day 56

Gotta be honest, not one of my best, but a funny awkward day that never went to plan conspired against me. It's a box ticking exercise for once.

Day 55

Driving to Galway on this beautiful evening, and I just had to pull over to capture this sunset. It took a mile to find the right sort of silhouette, but these trees were worth the wait.
